Free chainsaw course in Derby |
Living woods magazine are running an experimental two-day chainsaw course for novices on Sunday/Monday 4-5th July 2010 in Derbyshire, and have space for one or two people.
It would be free of charge, unless you would like a Lantra certificate from the course, which would cost £28. There is scope for camping overnight on site on the Sunday night (but probably not before). You would have to be able to arrive by 9am on the Sunday morning, and you would need to bring your own chainsaw (of any size and quality) and safety gear.
The course will focus mainly on maintenance, safety and crosscutting, but not on felling trees. It will obviously feature in Living Woods! If you are interested, and can definitely commit to the dates, please email us asap. We are trying to get a good cross-section of types of people on the course. contact Nick Gibbs Publisher/Editor, Living Woods magazine 0788 798 7738 01285 850481 Freshwood Publishing Ampney St Peter Cirencester Glos GL7 5SH
